PROSPECTUS
Session: 2022-23
The College, Baba Fateh Singh Ji Govt. College Assandh, was started in
session 2014-15 on the historical land of Assandh. Initially the college was
started within the building of Govt. Sr. Secondary School (Boys), Assandh with
the name of Govt. College Assandh. Now the college has been shifted in ITI
Building Jaisinghpura with the new name "Baba Fateh Singh Ji Govt. College
Assandh". The college has completed successful 8 years in July 2022. The
college is moving towards providing excellence in the education to the students
with many new streams in its own new building soon. However 80 seats are
increased in B.A I and M.A History with 30 seats has been introduced the from current session i.e. 2022-23.

Presently the College is running on
First Floor of ITIBuilding, Jaisingpura village with following facilities:
Ø Well qualified and Efficient Staff: In the
college the staff is well qualified. All the classes are taken as per time
-table.
Ø Placement Cell: Under Placement Cell students are being
provided with valuable guidance keeping in mind of their career
oppurtunity.Under this cell the Resource Persons who are expert in career
guidance are invited to deliver lectures on career oppurtunities for the
students.
Ø Computer Lab: There is one computer lab with thirty computers to
provide the basic computer education to all the students to make them computer
literate.
Ø Geography Lab: There is one geography lab in the college.
Ø Library: Library of the college is a place where students
can study various books related with subject, competitiveexams, newspapers,
magazinesetc. College is having the library with 2325 books covering efficient and sufficient
material to the students.
Ø Smart Class Room: Smart class room is available for imparting
digital education to the students i.e. classes go via ppts and other digital
tool for better understanding of the concepts. All the staff members deliver
lecture via this mode timely.
Ø Earn while you learn : Students can earn while doing their studies
under this scheme.
Ø Bus pass facility: Bus pass facility is available for students from
college to their destinations.
Ø NSS: The college is running with NSS. Various
activities like camp, Speech, debate competitions etc. are organised asper the
guidelines timely.
Ø Educational Tours: Educational tours and trips are organised for boys
and girls time to time as per guidelines of the govt.
Ø Scholarships: Various scholarships are provided to the students
as listed in awards and scholarships for financial support to the meritorious,
girls, SC and BC students.
Ø Women Cell : The cell of the college actively organizes various
activities like Mehandi Competition, Diya Decoration, Rangoli Competition,
Speech Competition, Extension Lectures on current issues etc. for the overall
development of a girl child timely.
Ø Discipline: A Discipline Committee has been constituted in the
college to maintain the discipline in the college campus. The committee and all
staff members perform their duties sincerely and honestly. All the staff
members perform proctorial duties also for the purpose. All the classes and
other activities run smoothly and efficiently in the college. The strict rules
have been made and followed by all the staff and students to maintain the
discipline. The outsiders are strictly banned in college premises.
